Netherlands – MPS has been awarded a contract by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) for an E-Jet E2 FTD-2. The simulator on order is expected to be among the first of MPS’ E-Jets to roll off the production line and will be installed in Scandinavia. MPS is also working towards FCS capability of its E-Jet devices and SAS will be among the first set of customers to experience this.

Founded in 1946, SAS is Scandinavia’s leading airline. Amongst a large fleet of Airbus aircraft, SAS currently operates 16 Embraer E1 aircraft. Last year, the airline entered into an agreement to acquire 45 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, with purchase rights for an additional ten. The MPS simulator on order will support E2 training as new SAS aircraft deliveries begin in 2027.

“This partnership with SAS marks an exciting milestone for MPS as we begin producing E-Jets,” said MPS Chief Executive Officer Philip Adrian, “As SAS expands their Embraer fleet, MPS is proud to support increased training capacity and offer new opportunities to provide exceptional value to our customers.”
