SFC Australia Gains CRICOS Registration Ahead of First International Intake

Australia – Australian flight training group SFC Australia has secured CRICOS registration and is preparing to welcome its first international student cohort at SFC Pilot Academy Tamworth. The registration allows Schofields Flying Club Ltd, trading as SFC, to offer registered courses to overseas students studying in Australia on student visas.

• SFC’s Tamworth campus includes an 1,100-metre training runway, accommodation and undercover parking capacity for 40 aircraft.
• SFC Chief Executive Officer Joseph Pilo and Chief Financial Officer Emmanuel Kastanias represented the organisation at a Business Sydney session addressing export-market access. The event included NSW Minister for Industry and Trade Anoulack Chanthivong and representatives from Investment NSW and the Export Council of Australia.
• The NSW Government’s 2026–27 export-support program includes capability-building workshops, market-entry support and connections with international buyers. SFC described its CRICOS registration as positioning aviation training within New South Wales’ education-export activity.
• AFM previously reported that SFC operated 39 aircraft and employed 53 instructors during 2025, when it recorded 25,000 flight hours, 269 enrolled students and 143 graduates. The organisation has also committed to reaching 200 students at Tamworth by the end of 2027.
