Simaero Hosts COMAC Executives at Paris CDG Training Center

France – global pilot training group Simaero has hosted a delegation of 40 senior executives from Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) at its Paris CDG Training Center as part of INSEAD’s Senior Executive Program.

• The delegation included senior executives from multiple COMAC functions and visited Simaero through INSEAD’s Senior Executive Program. Simaero said the engagement was intended as an exchange of operational and training perspectives rather than the announcement of a specific commercial project.
• Simaero’s current Paris CDG simulator listing comprises 13 Full Flight Simulators:
  • two A320s
  • two A330s
  • two A340s
  • one A350
  • one ATR 72-500
  • one ATR 72-600
  • one Boeing 737 Classic
  • one Boeing 737NG
  • one Boeing 757 and
  • one Boeing 767
  • an A320 MFTD and
  • an ATR 72-500 VPT.
• The Paris operation now spans the Carole and Demi-Lune CDG training centres, both located approximately 10 minutes from Charles de Gaulle Airport. Simaero’s current site lists initial and refresher type ratings, recurrent training, TRI/TRE pathways, differences courses and simulator leasing among the services available through the Paris platform.
• Simaero has maintained an operational presence in China since beginning simulation engineering activity there in 2018. It subsequently established joint ventures with Henan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Group and opened its eight-bay Changsha Training Center in 2024.
• The Changsha centre currently supports Airbus A320ceo/neo simulator training. Its first Chinese-manufactured A320 FFS received EASA certification in 2024, and Simaero continues to market simulator capacity, engineering support and CBTA/EBT implementation services to Chinese airlines.
• Simaero currently operates five training centres across France, South Africa, China and India and states that its network trains more than 5,000 pilots annually from more than 250 civil and military operators across over 80 countries.
• COMAC is China’s state-owned commercial aircraft manufacturer responsible for the C909 regional jet, C919 narrowbody and C929 widebody programmes. The C919 entered commercial service following its first delivery in December 2022, while development of the C929 remains underway.
• AFM previously reported that Simaero targeted Chinese airline training demand at the Civil Aviation Training & Education Summit in May 2026, where the company highlighted A320ceo/neo simulator capacity, local engineering expertise and CBTA/EBT support from its Changsha operation.
