Simaero India Completes HAVELSAN A320neo Simulator Maintenance Training

India – Simaero India’s engineering team has completed maintenance training on the HAVELSAN Airbus A320neo Full Flight Simulator installed at the company’s Delhi NCR training center, advancing preparations for the device’s certification and entry into training.

• The milestone relates to one Airbus A320neo Full Flight Simulator, the first device installed at Simaero’s new Delhi training center and the first of up to eight simulator bays planned for the facility. The simulator supports the LEAP-powered A320neo configuration at Airbus Standard 2.1.
• The maintenance course was delivered by HAVELSAN instructors and provided Simaero India’s engineering personnel with practical training across the simulator’s systems and technical architecture. Ajit Ayri, the Simulator Technical Manager of Simaero India, said completion of the course moves the team closer to meeting DGCA compliance requirements and completing the FFS certification process.
• Simaero’s A320neo simulator arrived at the Delhi facility in early 2026 and subsequently entered assembly, testing and DGCA qualification preparations. The company hosted customers and industry partners at the center on 26 June 2026 while describing commercial activation as being in its final stages.
• The Delhi facility was designed with eight simulator bays. Simaero has previously identified the Airbus A320, Boeing 737 MAX and ATR 72-600 among the aircraft families targeted for the center as it builds additional simulator capacity in India.
• AFM previously reported that Simaero selected HAVELSAN in November 2024 to supply its first A320neo FFS for India and later reported in July 2026 that the Delhi center was approaching the start of operations following installation of the device.
