Global – Simaero, a France-headquartered global pilot training organisation and full flight simulator training center operator, has expanded its Simaero LMS catalogue to include interactive Computer-Based Training (CBT) courses on aircraft systems, interactive Operational Task Devices (OTDs), general subject courses covering regulations and operational knowledge, and AI-assisted course creation tools for airlines to develop and adapt their own training materials.

  • The Simaero LMS catalogue covers four content categories:
    • Interactive CBT aircraft systems courses tailored to specific types and operations
    • General subject courses (regulations, dangerous goods, Safety Management Systems)
    • Interactive OTDs for pre-simulator procedure training
    • Other industry-related courses covering full airline training needs.
  • Interactive OTDs allow pilots to train on real procedures before entering the simulator, positioned by Simaero as a method to reduce simulator time requirements and improve first-day performance in the FFS.
  • Airlines using the platform can create and adapt their own training materials through AI-assisted course creation tools, expanding the LMS's utility from off-the-shelf courseware to a bespoke content development platform.
  • Simaero LMS is developed by instructors and training professionals with cockpit operational experience.
