France – Full flight simulator training center operator Simaero is seeking to recruit a Program Manager and future Synthetic Flight Instructor for its core ATO team in Roissy-en-France.

- The position requires an ATPL or frozen ATPL, airline or multi-crew experience and at least 1,500 flight hours.
- The successful candidate will design Competency-Based Training and Assessment programs for aircraft type ratings and recurrent training, including competency frameworks, grading matrices and assessment methods aligned with ICAO Doc 9868, EASA requirements and other civil aviation authority standards.
- Regulatory duties include EASA Part-ORA compliance, training program approvals, quality-system documentation and coordination with aviation authorities.
- The role also covers airline business development, including working with heads of training and flight operations directors, preparing proposals and supporting new customer acquisition.
- Simulator instruction will represent one to two working days per week. Simaero will provide Synthetic Flight Instructor training where required.
- Candidates must work on site at least three days per week and be based in, or willing to relocate to, the Paris and Île-de-France area.
- Experience developing syllabi, courseware or competency frameworks is required, although previous work within an airline training department or ATO may have been completed alongside line flying.
- Preferred experience includes CBTA, Evidence-Based Training, learning management systems, training-data analytics, human factors and crew resource management development.
- Existing type ratings on aircraft within Simaero’s training portfolio, including the Airbus A320 and A330, Boeing 737 and 777 and ATR families, are beneficial but not required.
- Simaero is also accepting applications from pilots who have lost their medical certification but retain the operational and instructional experience required for the role.
- AFM previously reported that Simaero selected Hinfact’s digital platform to support its group-wide transition to CBTA and targeted the rollout of a full CBTA type-rating program during summer 2026. Simaero subsequently expanded its learning platform with interactive aircraft-system courses, operational task devices and AI-assisted course development tools.
