Kenya – France-headquartered global pilot training group and full-flight simulator operator Simaero will attend the 2026 Aviation Africa Summit & Exhibition in Nairobi on September 9-10.
- The 10th Aviation Africa Summit & Exhibition will take place at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi on September 9-10 and is being hosted by Kenya’s State Department for Aviation & Aerospace Development, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Kenya Airports Authority and Kenya Airways.
- Simaero will be represented by:
- Patrice Galinier, Group Training Director;
- Anastasiia Sarakula, VP Strategic Accounts & Partnerships; and
- Maëlle Breton, Global Account Manager.
- The company said discussions in Nairobi will focus on pilot training capacity, competency development and airline training strategy, with training available through both its Johannesburg facility and wider international network.
- Simaero’s Johannesburg Training Center currently lists full-flight simulator capability for ATR 42-500/72-500, Embraer ERJ145 and E170/190, Beechcraft 1900D, CRJ 200/700 and De Havilland Dash 8 aircraft. The centre provides type ratings, recurrent and renewal training, instructor and examiner pathways and simulator leasing.
- AFM previously reported that Simaero integrated Embraer E170/190 training programmes into its SACAA-approved Johannesburg ATO in March 2026 following certification of the centre’s E170/190 Full Flight Simulator, expanding locally available training for African regional jet operators.
- AFM also previously reported Simaero’s participation at AviaDev 2026 in Botswana, where Galinier and Breton were among the representatives engaging with African aviation operators on regional training requirements.
