Hungary – Simnest Pilot Academy, a Budapest-based simulator-only pilot training organisation, has announced that it surpassed 2,000 certificates issued in May 2026 and confirmed the forthcoming addition of a Simnest B737 MAX FNPT II MCC simulator to its training fleet.
- The 2,000-certificate milestone reflects training delivered to cadets, pilots, airline partners, and training organisations across Simnest Pilot Academy's simulator-based MCC, APS MCC, and type rating preparation programs.
- Simnest Pilot Academy currently operates four Simnest A320 FNPT II MCC simulators, which have collectively surpassed 30,000 total operating hours; the incoming B737 MAX FNPT II MCC simulator will be the first Boeing platform in the academy's fleet, extending its offering to cadets and pilots targeting Boeing-equipped airline operators.
- The B737 MAX simulator addition, announced in November 2025, will be manufactured by Simnest Aviation — the sister organisation and simulator manufacturer — and will initially serve a dual role as a demonstration unit as well as an operational training device at the Budapest facility.
