Ireland – Dublin-based Approved Training Organisation and simulator training provider Simtech Aviation has welcomed six students to its latest APS MCC group (18th batch) while new briefing rooms for its Sim Hall 2 near completion, with a dedicated student lounge also being developed. The facility work coincides with Simtech’s broader simulator expansion, including a newly opened Aer Lingus CAE A320 CEO/NEO full-flight simulator and additional Airbus devices planned through 2027, increasing pilot-training infrastructure at the Dublin centre.

  • Simtech’s APS MCC programme comprises four days of ground school and 40 hours in its Boeing 737-800 simulator, delivered over approximately 16 days. Training covers CRM, airline operations, Boeing procedures and profiles, UPRT, general handling, aircraft systems and FMS operation.
  • Simtech stated that its next APS MCC intake is scheduled to start on September 14, 2026. At the time of its announcement, places remained available for September, while the company had opened a waiting list for October and reported limited availability for November and December.
  • AFM previously reported that the wider simulator expansion forms part of a long-term Simtech-Aer Lingus partnership announced in January 2026, with three new CAE full-flight simulators planned for the Dublin centre between 2026 and 2027.
