Simtech Aviation Welcomes 10 UK CAA and EASA Students for APS MCC Training in September 2026

Ireland – Dublin-based Approved Training Organisation Simtech Aviation welcomed a new group of 10 UK CAA and EASA students to its APS MCC program (Batch 19) in early September 2026, continuing the provider’s high-frequency intake schedule for pilots transitioning from commercial flight training toward airline selection and type-rating environments.

• Simtech’s APS MCC course comprises four days of ground school and 40 hours in its Boeing 737-800 training device, delivered over approximately 16 days. The simulator phase is normally divided into two five-day blocks separated by two rest days.
• Training covers crew resource management, airline operations, Boeing 737 standard operating procedures and profiles, UPRT, normal and non-normal handling, complex aircraft systems and flight management system operation. Successful candidates receive the applicable EASA or UK CAA APS MCC certificate.
• APS MCC training is currently conducted on Simtech’s MPS Boeing 737-800 fixed-base device. The wider Dublin simulator operation also includes Airbus A320, ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600 Full Flight Simulators supporting airline and type-rating activity.
• Simtech is simultaneously expanding its Airbus simulator infrastructure through its partnership with Aer Lingus. A new CAE Airbus A320 CEO/NEO Full Flight Simulator opened at the facility in August 2026, with A330 CEO/NEO capability to follow and an A321XLR simulator planned for 2027.
• AFM previously reported that Simtech welcomed 10 students to its 17th APS MCC batch in August and six students to its 18th batch later that month.
