AMST-Aviation, a part of the AMST Group, is a growing, young and dynamic company with a global reach. With their team of 35 employees AMST designs, develops and assembles state of the art, reliable flight simulation products, including Full Flight Simulators (e.g. Airbus A320, Boeing B737). The company is seeking Simulation Software Developer for the Software Development Department. Please see an extract of the job post below.

“In this position, you will work with a team of 14 highly skilled and motivated colleagues on the software development of their flight simulation products. You are responsible for the development and integration of simulation models and have the skills to setup and support the testing internally, for customers, and for authorities.

Main tasks

  • Supporting the development, integration, and testing of the aircraft physics and systems simulations, including rehosts and original avionics equipment.
  • Ensuring the fidelity of the simulation meets or exceeds the applicable requirements for the device.
  • Analysing issues, clearly formulating the root causes, and providing concise rationales.
  • Proficient understanding of the aircraft based on FCOM, QRH and other OEM documentation.
  • Being able to work with standards set by authorities (e.g. EASA, FAA, CAAC).
  • Developing in C++ and Python and having an understanding of the packaging and deployment system and processes.
  • Supporting in systems model development, testing framework, and issue clearance.
  • Working with external pilots in the analysis simulated systems behaviour.

Your profile

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent (a Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Fluent in English (verbal & written).
  • Proficient experience with C++11 (or later) and Python3.
  • Willing to regularly travel for business for a few weeks at a time and to work flexible hours.
  • Interested in the aviation domain and flight simulation in particular.
  • Familiar with the Agile methodology.”
