GLobal – Aviation training technology provider SimViz Labs is expanding the regional positioning of its Flight Management System Trainer (FMST) across Mexico, Central America and South America, targeting airlines and Approved Training Organisations with Spanish-language sales and support capability.

  • SimViz Labs currently lists three available aircraft-specific FMST products covering the Airbus A320, Boeing 737 NG and Boeing 737 MAX, while a Boeing 747-400 trainer is listed as coming soon. The platforms cover FMS/FMC operation and automation workflows, with ACARS and CPDLC functions incorporated on supported products.
  • SimViz is positioning the platform for airlines and ATOs that want pilots to practise ACARS and CPDLC procedures before Initial Operating Experience or early line operations. The company said its Latin American outreach will include Spanish-speaking contacts and a dedicated support team serving Mexico, Central America and South America.
  • The FMST provides a free-play training environment using a current worldwide ARINC 424 navigation database, aircraft system logic and integrated subsystems including ACARS and CPDLC. SimViz also provides guided scenarios with step-by-step instructions for structured procedural practice.
  • SimViz has extended the platform beyond its original iPad delivery model with desktop access intended for classroom use. The desktop configuration allows an instructor to demonstrate FMS and automation procedures on a shared display while trainees practise the same material at individual workstations.
  • Institutional deployments can integrate with an existing Learning Management System or use SimViz Labs' own LMS, with functions covering lesson-plan authoring, training records, assessments, completion tracking and offline use with subsequent synchronisation.
  • For airline customers, SimViz supports configuration around fleet-specific operational data and procedures, including tailored scenarios and company-specific ACARS workflows. Its airline platform also provides instructor visibility into trainee progress and interaction data.
  • The B737 MAX FMST introduced in July 2026 includes FMC programming, VNAV climb and descent management, flight guidance displays and an AI-supported CPDLC module for datalink clearances, route amendments and controller communications.
  • AFM previously reported that Canadian training provider Genesis Flight College integrated SimViz Labs' B737 MAX FMS platform into its cadet programme in July 2026, providing a named ATO implementation following the product's launch. AFM has also tracked SimViz's 2026 distribution expansion through partners in Malaysia, India and Australia.
