Singapore Flying College Signs Multi-Year Talent Partnership with Women in Aviation Singapore

Singapore – Singapore Flying College (SFC), the pilot training subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has formalised a multi-year partnership with Women in Aviation International Singapore Chapter (WAI-SG) covering mentorship, aviation learning opportunities and an SFC-funded scholarship program. The agreement expands SFC’s involvement in early-stage aviation talent development beyond its core cadet pilot training activities.

• The partnership was formalised during WAI-SG’s fifth anniversary Gala Dinner on August 31, 2026. Singapore’s Ministry of Transport stated that WAI-SG has grown to more than 100 members, supported over 130 mentees and conducted more than 20 outreach events reaching over 5,000 participants since its establishment.
• Under the agreement, SFC pilots and instructors will provide mentorship and learning opportunities intended to give aspiring aviation professionals exposure to aviation careers and training pathways. The partnership is structured as a multi-year arrangement. SFC will also fund a scholarship program for students pursuing aviation careers.
• The formal agreement builds on existing cooperation between the organisations. WAI-SG’s 2026 Aspiring Pilots Programme is a four-month small-group mentorship pathway pairing women aged 18 to 30 who are considering pilot careers with cadet pilots from Singapore Flying College.
• AFM previously reported that Singapore Flying College launched its Learning and Emerging Aviators Programme (L.E.A.P.) in October 2025 for young people aged seven to 25. The initiative incorporates aviation workshops, simulator exposure, airport visits and career-focused mentorship from SFC pilots, providing earlier context for the college’s expansion into structured aviation career outreach.
• SFC provides CAAS Multi-Crew Pilot Licence and Commercial Pilot Licence pathways alongside CASA CPL, Multi-Engine Instrument Rating and ATPL theory training across Singapore and Australia. Its published training fleet uses Garmin G1000-equipped Cessna 172 aircraft and Piper PA-44 Seminoles, supported by Frasca 141 and 242 training devices.
