Singaporean LCC Signs with Visionary Training Resources for FlightDeckToGo™ VR Training Solution
Singapore – Visionary Training Resources (VTR), a specialist in virtual‑reality pilot training solutions, has signed a partnership agreement with Scoot, the low‑cost carrier subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA). Under the deal, Scoot will deploy VTR’s proprietary FlightDeckToGo™ VR training platform to supplement its pilot training curriculum with immersive cockpit familiarisation.
-
The partnership enables pilots at Scoot to practice aircraft flows and cockpit procedures in‑headset prior to commencing full‑flight simulator training, reducing time in higher‑cost devices and improving operational readiness.
-
The collaboration marks VTR’s strategic entry into the Asia-Pacific market, expanding from existing customer bases in the Americas.
-
The initiative reflects a growing industry trend toward integrating VR-based familiarisation in type rating and recurrent pilot training programs, particularly in cost-conscious operational environments.
