Skyborne Announces Largest IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program Intake with 48 LOI Signings

October 12, 2026

India & USA – Global pilot training group Skyborne Airline Academy has announced that 48 cadets have signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) to join the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program, representing its largest reported single intake and continuing its pilot training partnership with the Indian airline.

  • AFM previously reported that Skyborne welcomed 41 IndiGo cadets in October 2025, which was then its largest intake.
  • Skyborne and IndiGo have maintained their pilot training partnership since 2019. In March 2024, the organisations signed a five-year contract extension providing for up to 100 selected cadets annually.
  • The 48 cadets have completed the selection process and received LOIs from IndiGo. The program provides a pathway towards joining the airline as Airbus A320 Junior First Officers, subject to successful completion of training and the airline's requirements.
  • Under the published training structure, cadets undertake three months of DGCA ground school in Delhi, followed by approximately 12 months of flight training at Skyborne's Vero Beach, Florida academy. They subsequently return to India for a two-month DGCA licence conversion phase before completing three months of combined Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) and Airbus A320 type rating training with an IndiGo-approved provider.
