United Kingdom – Skyborne, the fast-growing global flight-training group, has launched a new recruitment drive for Flight Instructors across its Gloucestershire and Bournemouth training centres. The expansion comes amid a period of rapid growth for the organisation, supported by several high-profile airline-training partnerships secured over the past year.
Skyborne has recently been selected as the official UK partner for British Airways’ Speedbird Pilot Academy, the Ryanair Future Flyer Academy, and the Jet2FlightPath programme — significantly increasing demand for instructor capacity across its UK training network.
The academy is seeking experienced and ambitious Flight Instructors aligned with its airline-standard training philosophy, modern instructional practices and competency-based training approach.
Skyborne is offering a competitive compensation package including a £60,000 basic salary, an uncapped bonus scheme, sponsorship for additional ratings, MEP sponsorship, and PIC hour-building support.
Additional benefits include £100,000 loss-of-licence cover, healthcare insurance, generous paid leave, and flexible rostering structures.
The hiring campaign is also positioned as a lifestyle opportunity, with Skyborne highlighting the quality of life offered at its bases in the Cotswolds and along the Dorset coastline.
Established in 2019, Skyborne’s UK operations include seven DA42 twin-engine aircraft, a Zlin Z-242-L for UPRT, a 737 simulator, and three DA42 simulators.
Skyborne also operates its large Vero Beach campus in Florida, providing cadets with a multi-continent training environment and consistent access to year-round flying conditions.
The academy has so far graduated over 360 pilots and currently employs around 81 staff, with further growth planned.
