Senegal – Skyzen, publisher of a collaborative airworthiness and maintenance management platform for general aviation, announces a partnership with the Senegalese Air Force School (École de l’Armée de l’Air – EAA), based in Thiès. The school will deploy Skyzen  to manage the continuing airworthiness of its training fleet.

The Senegalese Air Force School and Skyzen have signed an agreement to implement the Skyzen platform for the airworthiness and maintenance management of the school’s aircraft. This partnership is part of the EAA’s effort to modernise its technical management tools as it trains the future pilots  and maintenance technicians of the Senegalese Air Force.

A leading aviation training school in Senegal

Located in Thiès, the EAA’s mission is to “train, transform, accustom, confirm and develop personnel in every aeronautical specialty”. It currently has 190 students and offers military, civil and continuing education programmes covering, among other areas, piloting, aircraft maintenance, air defence and operations management.

Recruitment is based on two main competitive entrance exams: Cadet Pilot and Aircraft Maintenance Technician. The school operates a fleet of Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft, Socata TB 30 Epsilon aircraft and Bell 505 helicopters.

Centralised, automated airworthiness management

With Skyzen, the EAA’s technical teams will have a single tool to manage the airworthiness of their aircraft:

  • automated tracking of the Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) applicable to each aircraft;
  • management of the maintenance programme and maintenance due dates;
  • real-time dashboards showing the status of the fleet;
  • automated generation of work packages and certificates of release to service;
  • spare parts inventory management.

The platform automates airworthiness tracking tasks, freeing up time for maintenance teams and securing aircraft availability for student training.

The platform will cover the school’s entire mixed fleet of aeroplanes and helicopters. Deployment has begin in September 2025 and has been done during the previous year.

“We are proud to support the Senegalese Air Force School. A training fleet flies intensively, and  its availability depends directly on rigorous airworthiness management. Skyzen gives the EAA a  tool that centralises this information and automates repetitive tasks, supporting both safety and  aircraft availability,” said Jean-Christophe Abrial, CEO, Skyzen.
