Somon Air Receives Tajikistan's First Boeing 737 MAX 8

Tajikistan – Somon Air, the national airline of Tajikistan, has received its first Boeing 737-8 aircraft under a lease agreement with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) — the first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in Tajikistan and the first of two aircraft to be delivered under the two-aircraft commitment.

• The Boeing 737-8 delivery is the first of two aircraft leased from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) and represents the first 737 MAX in Tajikistan.
• Somon Air currently operates 6 B737NG.
• The airline has previously announced a commitment for up to 14 fuel-efficient 787 Dreamliner and 737 MAX aircraft.
• The 737-8 seats up to 210 passengers with a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles (6,480 km) and reduces fuel use and carbon emissions by 20% compared to the aircraft it replaces.
• DAE Capital operates a fleet of over 190 Boeing 737 MAX family aircraft as part of its broader lease portfolio.
