South Africa's Excellentia Airline Academy Launches 2026 Promotional Sling 2 Hire Rates for Hour Builders

South Africa – Excellentia Airline Academy (EAA), a South African flight training group operating from bases at Grand Central and Lanseria, has announced promotional hire rates on its Sling 2 training aircraft for hour builders and local students, with dual instruction at R2,350 (approximately $130 USD) and solo hire at R2,000 (approximately $110 USD) per hour, available until 7 September 2026.

AFM previously reported that EAA completed the 100% acquisition of both Aeronav Academy and Skyhawk Aviation in October 2025, combining two established flight schools under a single holding group with bases at Lanseria and Grand Central. The combined fleet at that time comprised approximately 30 aircraft — primarily Cessna 172, Piper, and Diamond types — with new Sling 2 NGT aircraft being added monthly. EAA subsequently announced three new Sling NGT deliveries in November 2025, and has stated a target of training over 6,000 pilots by 2030.
