South Africa – Excellentia Airline Academy (EAA), a South African flight training group operating from bases at Lanseria and Grand Central airports, has welcomed Group Charlie — its third student intake — comprising 17 student pilots, with Group Delta already fully booked for arrival in July 2026.

  • The 17 cadets commenced orientation with introductions to the school's training bases at Lanseria and Grand Central, simulators, Sling training aircraft, pre-flight procedures, and airmanship fundamentals, alongside team activities and aviation-themed exercises to build group cohesion.
  • Group Charlie is Excellentia's third intake since the academy's establishment, with the fourth intake (Group Delta) already fully booked for July, demonstrating accelerating demand and a rapid intake cadence for the young academy.
  • Excellentia Airline Academy was formed through the acquisition of both Aeronav Academy and Skyhawk Aviation in October 2025, combining two long-established South African flight training schools under the EAA umbrella. The academy subsequently expanded its fleet with three brand-new Sling NGT aircraft.
