Vietnam – Victoria Aviation Academy (VIAA), the Ho Chi Minh City-based aviation training academy and full flight simulator training center formerly known as Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA), has welcomed back its MPL Batch 1 trainees to Vietnam for the opening ceremony of Phases 3 and 4 of their Multi-Crew Pilot Licence training program on 5 May 2026.

  • The cadets completed Phases 1 and 2 of their MPL training at F Air in the Czech Republic and will now continue Phases 3 and 4 at VIAA's home base in Vietnam, training on the academy's Airbus A320 flight simulation training devices under programs certified by both the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) and EASA.
  • VIAA operates three Airbus A320 CEO/NEO Level D full flight simulators, all CAE 7000XR devices, which the academy gained full in-house operational control over in December 2025 following a partnership with Airbus.
  • Established in 2012 as Vietjet Training Center, the academy rebranded to Victoria Aviation Academy in early 2026, marking an expansion from supporting Vietjet's internal training needs to becoming a globally competitive aviation training institution.
  • In January 2026, VIAA began offering its three A320 FFS devices for third-party lease, following the CAAV approval for full in-house simulator operations.
