Spain – Spanish pilot training organization European Flyers has confirmed the commissioning of an ALSIM ALX FNPT II MCC simulator at its training center at Mutxamel Aerodrome in Alicante. Announced on October 8, 2026, the installation expands the academy's simulator training capabilities and allows students to complete Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) training at its Alicante base.

  • The installation forms part of an approximately €1 million (US$1.12 million) investment in two ALSIM flight simulators, comprising the ALX for Alicante and an Airliner FNPT II MCC for European Flyers' Madrid-Cuatro Vientos facility.
  • With the ALX now operational in Alicante, students can complete their commercial pilot training pathway, including the MCC phase, without previously required transfers to Madrid. The academy expects this arrangement to improve training logistics and coordination between course stages.
  • The simulator is configured to reproduce a medium-jet operating environment, supporting training in multi-crew communication, division of responsibilities between pilot flying and pilot monitoring, workload management and coordinated decision-making.
  • The ALSIM ALX FNPT II MCC supports training configurations ranging from single-engine and multi-engine piston aircraft to turboprops and medium twin-engine jets. Its systems include flight management and navigation capabilities, normal and abnormal procedure training, and an instructor operating station capable of introducing simulated system failures.
  • AFM previously reported that European Flyers selected the two ALSIM devices in June 2026 as part of its simulator infrastructure expansion following the 2025 merger with Aerotec.
