Spain’s FTEJerez and UK Airline Launch 2nd Edition of Fully Funded Pilot Program
Spain – FTEJerez has announced the continuation of its partnership with UK-based airline Jet2.com through the launch of the second edition of the Jet2FlightPath programme—a fully funded cadet pilot training initiative designed to build a pipeline of airline-ready pilots for the carrier’s future operations.

The Jet2FlightPath programme provides selected candidates with fully sponsored ab initio pilot training at FTEJerez’s aviation campus in Jerez, Spain.
- FTEJerez’s training under the programme includes theoretical knowledge instruction, flight training, and airline preparation aligned with Jet2.com’s operational standards.

In 2025 FTEJerez had announced that is was opening a new base at London Oxford Airport. Returning back to a physical presence in the United Kingdom after more than three decades.

FTEJerez signed contracts to operate from London Oxford Airport, where construction of bespoke facilities tailored to its operations has been approved.

The academy will initially deploy two Diamond DA42 twin-engine trainers to provide training aligned with UK CAA licensing requirements.

The new base will allow FTEJerez to offer both UK CAA and dual UK/EASA licence pathways, enhancing support for Jet2 cadets as well as self-sponsored students.

The move represents a return to the UK for FTEJerez, which originally began as BAE Systems Flying College in Prestwick in 1988 before relocating to Spain in the 1990s.
