Spanish Flight School Marks 10th Anniversary with Euro 4 Million Tecnam Fleet Expansion

18th Jan 2026

Spain – EAS Barcelona is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a major fleet expansion valued at over Euro 4 million.

  • EAS Barcelona has committed to acquiring six Tecnam P2006T NG twin‑engine trainers, significantly enhancing multi‑engine training capability for Integrated ATPL students.

  • The academy will also add two Tecnam P‑Mentor aircraft to its single‑engine training fleet, following an order placed in late 2025.

  • With these additions, EAS Barcelona now operates the largest Tecnam training fleet in Spain, exceeding 30 aircraft with an average fleet age of less than four years.

  • The new aircraft will progressively enter service starting mid‑2026, supporting both foundational and advanced pilot training stages.

  • Equipped with Rotax 912iSc3 engines, the P2006T NG and P‑Mentor offer roughly 20 % lower fuel consumption per flight hour, advancing EAS Barcelona’s commitment to sustainability in flight training.
