Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology Hosts 2026 Tulsa Regional Chamber Economic Development Visit

Oklahoma, USA – Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology has hosted Tulsa Regional Chamber Senior Vice President of Economic Development Kim Wilmes and her team for a tour of its Tulsa aviation maintenance facilities.

• Spartan’s Tulsa Aviation Maintenance Technology programme is offered as a 20-month diploma or a 23-month Associate of Applied Science degree. Hybrid pathways comprise a 21-month diploma or a 25-month degree, including 12 months of online study and nine months of campus-based technical training.
• The Tulsa campus includes laboratories and training aids covering turbine engines, reciprocating aircraft engines and other aircraft maintenance systems. It also houses aviation electronics, unmanned-aircraft, welding and nondestructive-testing training facilities.
• Successful completion of Spartan’s Aviation Maintenance Technology programme makes graduates eligible to take the FAA written, oral and practical examinations required for the Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings. The programme is approved under FAA Part 147.
• AFM previously reported that Spartan completed renovations to its Tulsa campus in 2024, including updated hangar and training areas, and that the Tulsa Regional Chamber participated in the reopening event.
• AFM also reported that Spartan welcomed 40 Saudia Technic-sponsored students into its FAA Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technology programme in February 2026, demonstrating the campus’s role in domestic and international technician training.
