StaplesVR Appoints Craig Fortune as Aviation Product & Sales Manager

New Zealand – Immersive training technology provider StaplesVR has appointed Craig Fortune as Aviation Product & Sales Manager, tasking the former Airbus professional with expanding its aviation training portfolio and developing customer and industry partnerships.

  • Fortune brings seven years of aviation industry experience, including software development and product management roles at Airbus. His new remit covers aviation product growth, customer and partner engagement, identification of new commercial opportunities and development of solutions around airline and training-organisation requirements.
  • StaplesVR currently offers aviation VR modules covering A320 engine ground runs, A320 cabin-door operation, A320 pre-flight inspection and general aircraft safety familiarisation. Its platform combines guided procedural training with assessment functions that can track accuracy, speed and learner performance.
  • The company is also developing additional modules covering Boeing 787 engine ground runs, A320 and 787 de-icing, B787 and ATR cabin-door operation, A380 slide descent, pushback procedures, refuelling, security searches and other ground and cabin activities.
