Colorado, USA – Pilatus has broken ground on a new USD 50 million facility at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, Colorado, combining a premium customer delivery centre with expanded engineering and passenger seat processing capabilities — the largest single infrastructure investment by the Swiss aircraft manufacturer in the United States.
- The new facility will serve as a premium delivery centre where customers can configure and personalise their PC-12 or PC-24 aircraft, as well as significantly expanding Pilatus' existing US engineering and seat processing operations for its growing fleet.
- The investment is expected to create more than 50 new, highly paid engineering and operational jobs in the Broomfield area, and reflects Pilatus' consolidation of its US subsidiaries into a single entity — Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd — which took effect on 1 January 2026 and created a unified organisation of approximately 400 employees across all American operations.
- The US footprint of Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd spans four locations: headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado, plus Westminster (Maryland), Rock Hill (South Carolina), and Atlanta (Georgia).
- The facility is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification and will incorporate photovoltaic solar panels, in line with Pilatus' sustainability commitments and responsible growth strategy.
