Italy – Italian aircraft manufacturer Tecnam has appointed Giovanni Pascale Langer as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), while Paolo Pascale Langer transitions to President, effective October 8, 2026. The appointments mark the transfer of executive leadership to the third generation of the Pascale family, with international expansion, product development and digitalization among the company's priorities.

  • Tecnam reports cumulative deliveries of more than 8,500 aircraft across over 60 countries. Paolo Pascale Langer has overseen the manufacturer's development and international expansion over several decades and will continue his involvement as President.
  • Giovanni Pascale Langer, born in 1991, joined Tecnam as an apprentice aircraft assembler before progressing through several departments. A commercial pilot licensed in both the United States and Italy, he was appointed Managing Director in 2019.
  • During his tenure as Managing Director, he oversaw commercial development across markets including Australia, the United States, India and South America, alongside responsibility for operations at Tecnam's Capua headquarters and its US subsidiary.
  • As CEO, Giovanni Pascale Langer has outlined four priorities: strengthening Tecnam's international market position, expanding its product and service portfolio, accelerating digitalization and developing industrial processes. He has also identified aircraft used for pilot training and regional connectivity as central to the company's future direction.
  • AFM previously reported that Giovanni Pascale Langer, then Managing Director, discussed Tecnam's international growth, manufacturing approach and development of aircraft for flight training organizations in a May 2025 AFM industry supplier interview.

Statements

  • “In the cockpit, when handing over the controls, we say 'You have control'. Today I say it to Giovanni, with confidence and pride. He learned this trade from the ground up and over the years has become a recognized leader by our customers, our partners, and our people, in Italy and around the world. He has the competence, the vision, and the character to keep Tecnam flying with the ambition and determination to go ever further. I will remain by his side,” said Paolo Pascale Langer, President of Tecnam.
  • “Today our history is no longer measured by how we started, but by how far we have come. And the road ahead of us is even more ambitious. We want Tecnam to be the global benchmark in general aviation: the aircraft on which the new generation of pilots trains, the one that connects territories where large carriers do not reach, the one that carries the signature of Italian quality wherever it lands. We have the people, the products, and the credibility to do it. I thank Paolo and the entire Board of Directors for the trust with which they entrust me with the controls: the route is traced,” said Giovanni Pascale Langer, Chief Executive Officer of Tecnam.
