Tecnam's Latin American Distributor Appoints Alexandre Silva de Morais as Tecnam Sales Director for Brazil to Drive Market Expansion

Brazil – Tecnam, the Italian aircraft manufacturer, and its official South American regional distributor Aerotec have announced the appointment of Alexandre Silva de Morais as Sales Director for Brazil, as the two companies move to accelerate Tecnam's presence in the Brazilian training, private aviation, air taxi, and regional mobility segments.

  • Alexandre Silva de Morais brings 20 years of aeronautical sector experience spanning technical, operational, and commercial domains, with his career beginning in 2006 at Compoende Aeronáutica as a Level II Quality Inspector and unit manager focused on maintenance, quality, and safety.
  • He subsequently transitioned into aircraft sales, achieving top-seller status in the Brazilian market for Thrush Aircraft with 18 agricultural aircraft commercialised, before moving into the business aviation segment.
  • Most recently, as Sales Manager for Brazil at Synerjet — the official Pilatus distributor in Brazil — he managed PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft sales generating over USD 450 million in business between 2020 and 2024.
  • His experience further spans the used aircraft market, executive aviation, and fractional ownership models through leadership roles at VKN Aviação, Avantto, and Epic Aircraft.
  • As Sales Director, his primary focus areas are Tecnam's growth in pilot training, private aviation, air taxi, regional mobility, and fleet renewal — segments identified by both Aerotec and Tecnam as central to Brazil's aviation market expansion.
  • Aerotec currently supports more than 400 Tecnam aircraft operating across South America, with direct presence in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil, and offices across the wider continent.
