Texas, US-based Flight School Gains Cirrus Training Center Status in 2025

Texas, USA – ClearTech Aviation School, a flight training provider based in Lubbock, has officially become a Cirrus Training Center following the addition of a modern Cirrus aircraft to its fleet — making it the only Cirrus‑certified center within a 450‑nautical‑mile (≈ 517‑mile) radius.

• The new designation as a CTC allows ClearTech to offer factory‑level training on Cirrus aircraft, enabling private, instrument and commercial pilot training under the standards set by Cirrus Aircraft.

• According to ClearTech’s Chief Flight Instructor, the modern technology and safety features of Cirrus aircraft make them well suited for contemporary students — particularly those comfortable with modern avionics and glass‑cockpit systems.

• The availability of Cirrus aircraft for rental and instruction aims to broaden access for aspiring pilots across West Texas and New Mexico

• As part of the Cirrus Flight Training Network, ClearTech now joins a global community of Cirrus‑certified training providers, offering the type‑specific benefits of the network — including standardized instruction by certified instructors known as Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots (CSIP), exposure to Cirrus-specific avionics and safety systems such as the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS®), and structured courses from Private Pilot License up to instrument or commercial ratings.
