Kansas, USA – Textron Aviation Defense LLC has been awarded a five-year U.S. government contract valued at over $150 million to provide Sustaining Engineering and Program Management (SEPM) services for the U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Army fleet of Beechcraft T-6A, T-6B, and T-6D Texan II training aircraft, extending a programme first awarded in 2021.
- The contract extension covers sustaining and systems engineering, programme management, and support for maintenance, repairs, modifications, and integrity programmes for the T-6 Texan II fleet across all three U.S. military services.
- The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the SEPM contract to a $510 million ceiling, up from the previous $240 million ceiling, with work to be performed in Wichita, Kansas.
- The Beechcraft T-6 Texan II holds an installed base that more than quadruples its closest competitor and has been the world's number one integrated training system for more than 20 years, with an active production line carrying a Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) rating of 10.
