Global – Textron Inc. has reported Q1 2026 results showing strong growth at Textron Aviation with 22% revenue increase and rising aircraft deliveries, while announcing a strategic separation of its Industrial segment to establish Textron as a pure-play aerospace and defense company built around Textron Aviation (Cessna and Beechcraft), Bell, and Textron Systems.

Textron Aviation delivered 37 jets in Q1 2026, up from 31 in Q1 2025, and 35 commercial turboprops, up from 30 in the prior-year quarter. Revenue at Textron Aviation reached $1.485 billion, up 22.1% year-on-year, driven by a 30% increase in aircraft revenue and 10% growth in aftermarket parts and services revenue.
Textron Aviation backlog grew to $8.0 billion at the end of Q1 2026, up from $7.724 billion at year-end 2025, reflecting strong order flow across the Cessna Citation jet and Beechcraft turboprop product portfolios. Segment profit margin improved to 10.4% from 10.0%.
Textron Aviation's 2026 revenue is guided to approximately $6.5 billion with aftermarket revenue of approximately $531 million in Q1, continuing strong demand for Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft.
The Cessna Skyhawk remains one of the world's most widely used pilot training aircraft, with Textron recently announcing a 10-aircraft purchase agreement with Turkish Airlines Flight Academy — one of the largest Skyhawk training fleet operators globally.
Textron has announced the planned separation of its Industrial segment (Kautex and Textron Specialized Vehicles) within 12–18 months, establishing "New Textron" as a pure-play aerospace and defense platform with approximately $12 billion in revenue, $1.2 billion in segment profit, and a $19.2 billion backlog across Textron Aviation, Bell, and Textron Systems.
Textron Systems revenue grew 13% in Q1 to $338 million, with strong year-on-year growth driven by Ship-to-Shore and military training (ATAC — Airborne Tactical Advantage Company) programs. ATAC provides adversary air training services for military customers.
Bell revenue grew 9% to $1.07 billion with military revenue up 25%, driven by continued scaling of the MV-75 Cheyenne tiltrotor program. Bell maintains a $7.6 billion backlog with an installed base of approximately 13,000 aircraft globally.
