Türkiye – Turkish Airlines has announced a landmark fleet expansion agreement with Boeing, representing one of the largest single commitments in the carrier’s history as it pursues its 2033 vision of an 800-aircraft fleet.
The agreement includes a firm order for 50 Boeing 787 Dreamliners (35 787-9s and 15 787-10s), plus options for an additional 25 Dreamliners, marking Turkish Airlines’ largest-ever Boeing widebody purchase. Deliveries are scheduled between 2029 and 2034.
Turkish Airlines also announced its intent to purchase up to 150 Boeing 737-8 and 737-10 MAX aircraft (100 firm, 50 options), pending final engine supply agreements with CFM International. Once concluded, this will represent the airline’s largest Boeing single-aisle order.
Parallel discussions are underway with Rolls-Royce and GE Aerospace regarding engines, spares, and long-term maintenance services for the Dreamliner fleet.
The combined Dreamliner and 737 MAX commitments would double Turkish Airlines’ Boeing fleet, which already numbers over 200 jets including 787-9s, 777s, 737 MAX, Next-Generation 737s, and 777 Freighters.
