Aydin, Turkey– Turkish Airlines Flight Academy (TAFA), the flight training group subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, has hosted this week the President of Turkey and the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure at its facility, along with their delegations. The visit emphasized the academy’s significance in advancing aviation training and infrastructure development in the country.
The delegation was welcomed by TAFA’s Chairman of the Board, Mr. Abdulkerim Çay; General Manager, Mr. İbrahim Zeki Akyurt; and Human Resources and Corporate Communications Manager, Mr. Muhammed Eşref Başyiğit.
TAFA conducted a remarkable growth over the past five years. The academy has expanded its operational capacity threefold and significantly increased its annual flight hours to 68,000 in 2024.
The academy currently trains 281 pilots annually, with plans to increase this figure to graduate 350 by 2026.
