11th Feb 2026

Türkiye – Turkish Technology, in partnership with Turkish Airlines and Istanbul University, has highlighted “PACE” – a next-generation pilot aptitude and competency evaluation platform designed to revolutionize cadet selection and assessment in aviation.

  • PACE (Pilot Assessment Competency Evaluation) leverages aviation-specific cognitive science, AI, and psychometric testing to identify top cadet potential early in the selection process.

  • The platform assesses a wide range of competencies, including sustained attention, spatial awareness, memory, multitasking, psychomotor skills, and math/physics proficiency.

  • Developed by Turkish Technology with academic input from Istanbul University, the system has already assessed over 11,000 candidates for Turkish Airlines’ cockpit crew.

  • Turkish Airlines emphasized that PACE introduces standardization and objectivity in pilot assessment, minimizing recruitment risk and reinforcing its focus on flight safety.

Statement

  • Standardization and objectivity are the pillars of flight safety! Through PACE, we have successfully standardized the assessment process for the next generation of pilots and cockpit crew, having tested over 11,000 candidates to the date.
