Türkiye – Pegasus Airlines has selected aviation training consultancy and solution provider Empower.aero to roll out its next-generation Mixed-to-Baseline Evidence Based Training (EBT) program and enhancements to its Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) course, with Pegasus serving as the first global launch partner for Empower.aero's newly unveiled CBTA-Unity™ framework.

  • The partnership builds on a collaboration dating to 2022, when Empower.aero first introduced foundational Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) elements into Pegasus Airlines' recurrent pilot training, and now expands to a comprehensive deployment across the airline's entire pilot training department.
  • Empower.aero's CBTA-Unity™ framework is designed to harmonise the distinct data streams and competency languages used by MPL and EBT methodologies into a single unified system, functioning as a "universal translator" that eliminates the need for parallel, siloed training tracks within an airline's training operation.
  • The framework enables airlines to align all instructors under a single competency standard regardless of the specific training syllabus being delivered, freeing training teams and data analysts from administrative and regulatory alignment work to focus on training culture and objective human performance measurement.
  • The collaboration includes comprehensive EBT and MPL program audits, oversight support, MPL Train-the-Trainer courses, and on-site simulator observations — a full-service deployment model designed to embed the new methodology across Pegasus's training infrastructure.

Statements

  • "Our primary focus at Pegasus is constantly elevating the standard of our training delivery," said Captain Korhan Çelik, Initial Trainings Group Manager at Pegasus Airlines.
  • "We are thrilled to partner with Pegasus Airlines on the rollout of their premier EBT and MPL programmes. Welcoming an innovative operator of their calibre as our first global launch partner for the CBTA-Unity™ framework is an absolute privilege. This rollout proves that the specialised languages of modern CBTA regulations can coexist perfectly under one elegant system. Together, we are providing a clear, simple trajectory for airlines and ATOs to implement CBTA across their entire operation, reducing costs while increasing quality," said Ignacio Gallego and Andy Mitchell FRAeS, Co-Founders at Empower.aero.
