Türkiye – Ankara headquartered flight simulator manufacturer HAVELSAN and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) will export a full-mission Hürjet flight simulator to Spain, extending Ankara and Madrid’s Euro 2.6 billion advanced jet trainer agreement into integrated training architecture and synthetic capability.
Spain signed a contract in December 2025 for 30 Hürjet advanced jet trainers valued at Euro 2.6 billion (USD 3 billion), marking the platform’s first major export success.
The newly confirmed export of a HAVELSAN-developed full-mission simulator expands the program beyond aircraft delivery to include:
Pilot training and mission rehearsal.
Ground-based instruction.
Pre-flight planning and operational scenario simulation.
The simulator will support Spain’s modernization of its air force training fleet, aligning aircraft acquisition with embedded synthetic training systems.
The Hürjet, developed by TAI, is a twin-seat, single-engine supersonic jet designed for advanced training and light attack roles. The aircraft first flew in April 2023, with development beginning in 2017.
Turkey plans to replace its T-38M and NF-5 trainers with the Hürjet in the 2030s and is evaluating additional mission applications, including close air support and potential naval variants.
In the global advanced jet trainer market, Hürjet competes with the Boeing T-7, KAI T-50 and Leonardo M-346.
