Türkiye – Ankara headquartered flight simulator manufacturer HAVELSAN and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) will export a full-mission Hürjet flight simulator to Spain, extending Ankara and Madrid’s Euro 2.6 billion advanced jet trainer agreement into integrated training architecture and synthetic capability.
- Spain signed a contract in December 2025 for 30 Hürjet advanced jet trainers valued at Euro 2.6 billion (USD 3 billion), marking the platform’s first major export success.
- The newly confirmed export of a HAVELSAN-developed full-mission simulator expands the program beyond aircraft delivery to include:Pilot training and mission rehearsal.Ground-based instruction.Pre-flight planning and operational scenario simulation.

- The simulator will support Spain’s modernization of its air force training fleet, aligning aircraft acquisition with embedded synthetic training systems.
- The Hürjet, developed by TAI, is a twin-seat, single-engine supersonic jet designed for advanced training and light attack roles. The aircraft first flew in April 2023, with development beginning in 2017.
- Turkey plans to replace its T-38M and NF-5 trainers with the Hürjet in the 2030s and is evaluating additional mission applications, including close air support and potential naval variants.
- In the global advanced jet trainer market, Hürjet competes with the Boeing T-7, KAI T-50 and Leonardo M-346.
