United Arab Emirates – Calidus Holding Group and Indra Group have signed a strategic teaming agreement to establish a joint venture in the UAE dedicated to the co-development, manufacturing, and integration of advanced civil and military training simulators. The partnership—announced during the Dubai Airshow 2025—will serve the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe, positioning Al Ain as a key regional hub for next-generation simulation technologies and certified training capabilities.
- The agreement includes technology transfer, joint design, co-development, local manufacturing, integration, and certification of training systems across aerospace, defence, and air traffic control (ATC) domains.
- The partnership will support the production of simulator hardware and software, including motion and visual systems, and will establish a regional simulation and strategic training centre in the UAE.
- The new centre will offer simulator-based training for pilots, flight and ground crews, and operators across fixed-wing aircraft, rotary-wing aircraft, gyroplanes, unmanned air vehicles, radars, and ground-based training simulators.
- The initiative supports national priorities to localise high-value simulation technologies, develop indigenous engineering expertise, and strengthen industrial self-reliance within the UAE’s defence and aviation ecosystem.
