UAE's Vertical Advanced Flight Training Showcases Extra 330 AUPRT Capabilities to Pier Seven Aviation

October 14, 2026

United Arab Emirates – Vertical Advanced Flight Training, a GCAA-approved Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (AUPRT) provider based at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, has welcomed Shahbaz Zahoor, Head of Sales and Business Development at Sharjah-based simulator training centre Pier Seven Aviation, for a visit to its training facility and discussions with its CEO, Captain Wayne Jack.

  • The visit provided Zahoor with an opportunity to review Vertical's on-aircraft AUPRT capabilities, which utilise Extra 330 aerobatic aircraft to train pilots in recognising, preventing and recovering from aircraft upset situations.
  • Vertical offers a three-day Advanced UPRT course combining five hours of ground school with three hours of scenario-based airborne training, targeting commercial airline pilots, business aviation operators and pilots progressing toward airline careers.
  • AFM previously reported that Vertical Advanced Flight Training, part of ActionFlight Aviation, received GCAA Approved Training Organisation (ATO) certification in December 2025, enabling it to deliver Advanced UPRT courses from Ras Al Khaimah.
  • Vertical's training program uses the Extra 330LT aerobatic aircraft to expose pilots to unusual attitudes, aircraft handling limitations and recovery procedures in actual flight conditions. The course follows CAR-FCL.745(A) requirements for Advanced UPRT.
