UK Airline, JET2.com, Contracts Global Simulator Manufacturer, MPS, for A320 FTD
Netherlands based MPS has been awarded a contract by Jet2.com for an A320 NEO FTD-2. The simulator is expected to be installed at Jet2.com’s training center in the UK in early to mid-2023. The order comes in addition to the previously installed MPS B737 NG FTD at Jet2’s training center in Leeds Bradford, UK.
Jet2.com is the third largest airline in the UK and favored as the premier leisure carrier in the region for low-cost travel. In August of last year, Jet2 placed a large order with Airbus to support its expansion plans and became a new Airbus A320NEO Family operator. The MPS A320 FTD will be used by Jet2 to accommodate the increased training necessary for its growing fleet.
“It is really rewarding to see that Jet2.com, a current satisfied MPS customer, has selected MPS once again to support their training expansion for the A320-series as well, which comes after previously receiving an MPS Boeing 737 NG FTD.” said MPS Chief Executive Officer Philip Adrian, “We truly value the relationship with Jet2.com, and as they continue to expand, our team looks forward to extending its partnership with Jet2 and continuing to support the highest standards of quality and safety in training.”
