UK-based Helicopter Training Provider Tiger Helicopters Goes Digital with FlightLogger
United Kingdom – Tiger Helicopters, a UK-based helicopter flight training organisation headquartered at Shobdon Airfield, has adopted FlightLogger’s digital training management system to streamline its domestic and international training operations, including complex police pilot development programmes.
-
Tiger Helicopters will fully implement FlightLogger’s digital platform in early 2026, enabling digitisation of student tracking, flight records, scheduling, and regulatory compliance workflows.
-
The transition marks a modernisation of Tiger Helicopters’ operations across both its Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)-approved Declared Training Organisation (DTO) and Approved Training Organisation (ATO) activities.
-
With this shift, Tiger aims to improve operational efficiency and ensure audit readiness, while replacing traditional spreadsheet-based systems with a scalable solution suited to international and specialised training needs.
-
The academy offers a wide spectrum of training, from PPL and CPL to advanced 100-hour pre-type rating police training, supported by a fleet of Robinson R22, R44, R66, and Bell 206/505 helicopters.
-
Tiger Helicopters’ global footprint includes international police contracts and collaborations with Robinson Helicopter Company, alongside growing ambitions for global training partnerships.
-
The partnership with FlightLogger supports the academy’s expansion and underpins its commitment to maintaining high training standards in both civilian and public sector pilot development programmes.
