UK Helicopter Training Academy Opens Applications for GBP 65,000 Commercial Pilot Scholarship in Program's 15th Year

United Kingdom – Helicentre Aviation Academy has opened applications for its 2027 Commercial Helicopter Pilot Scholarship, offering a full CPL(H) scholarship valued at £65,000 — the 15th consecutive year the programme has been offered since its launch in 2012, during which time the academy has awarded over £1.4 million in professional helicopter training funding.

• The 2027 scholarship covers the complete cost of post-PPL(H) hour building, ATPL(H) theoretical knowledge training, and the full CPL(H) modular flying course, totalling approximately 150 hours of flight time on the Guimbal Cabri G2.
• Applicants must have submitted their application and completed their PPL(H) with Helicentre Aviation by 31 July 2027; interest can be registered at www.flyheli.co.uk/scholarships.
• Helicentre Chairman Chris Line highlighted sustained demand for helicopter pilots across onshore utility operations as a driver of the programme, noting that high volumes of pilots moving into offshore roles have created a significant gap in onshore supply, and that scholarship graduates have career pathways including charter pilot roles and line pilot positions on Helicentre's utility contracts.
