United Kingdom – UK helicopter operator, Approved Training Organisation and Robinson dealer Heli Air has launched a leasing program for factory-new Robinson R22, R44 and R66 helicopters, providing flight schools and other high-utilisation operators with an alternative to purchasing additional aircraft outright. The program combines aircraft provision with insurance and optional maintenance support, extending Heli Air's existing R22 leasing activity across a broader part of the Robinson range.

The leasing program covers three Robinson helicopter families — the R22, R44 and R66 — and Heli Air describes it as the UK's first complete leasing solution for Robinson helicopters.
The leasing program includes factory-new aircraft, a low initial deposit, Robinson Helicopter Company warranty coverage, fixed payments and insurance, with maintenance available as an optional component. Individual pricing and delivery terms are provided through Heli Air's leasing team.
The wider launch expands on Heli Air's established R22 leasing activity. Its existing R22 program offers short- and long-term aircraft leases, subject to availability and approval, for applications including private training, approved commercial training, self-fly hire and aerial work.
Under the existing R22 structure, Heli Air can provide an all-in hourly rate incorporating insurance, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance excluding damage, overhaul reserves, service bulletin and airworthiness directive compliance, and technical-record management. Actual pricing depends on expected annual flight hours, aircraft use and operating base.
The expanded R22/R44/R66 offering provides a route to add or renew aircraft capacity without requiring the full capital expenditure associated with an outright purchase. The fixed-payment structure can also give operators greater visibility over aircraft costs as utilization changes, although the commercial benefit will depend on individual lease terms and flying activity.
The R22 and R44 are both used within Heli Air's own training portfolio, while the company also provides R66 type-rating training and advertises ab-initio PPL(H), CPL(H), Flight Instructor and ATPL(H) theoretical training.
Heli Air is currently listed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority as Approved Training Organisation GBR.ATO.0156. Its approved scope includes modular CPL(H), Flight Instructor, helicopter night-rating and a range of helicopter type-rating and examiner courses.
Heli Air is also the UK's Diamond Robinson Dealer and provides sales, maintenance, parts, pilot training and aircraft management services around the Robinson product range. Its wider operations state that more than 55 helicopters are available across its charter network and that it manages more than 120 aircraft through its maintenance activities.
