UK's Oxford Airline Training Hosts Jet2 Pilot Recruitment Team in August 2026

United Kingdom – new modular pilot training organisation Oxford Airline Training (OAT) has hosted Josh Raven and Sam Miles from the Jet2.com Pilot Recruitment Team at its London Oxford Airport training centre in August 2026 for discussions covering the airline’s future pilot requirements and recruitment pathways for modular trainees.

• Raven and Miles spent a full day at OAT reviewing its training facilities, aircraft and simulator infrastructure and receiving briefings on the academy’s EXPEDITE, FLEXIBLE and APS MCC programmes.
• OAT said the discussions covered Jet2’s future pilot requirements and the regulatory pathways through which those requirements could be supported, including opportunities for pilots completing their professional qualifications through the modular training route.
• OAT’s EXPEDITE Airline Pilot Career Programme is a 16–18 week advanced modular pathway, subject to weather, covering MEP, CPL, multi-engine instrument, Advanced UPRT and APS MCC training. The programme incorporates 40 hours of Diamond DA42 flying, 40 hours of DA42 simulator training, 40 hours of APS MCC training on either an Airbus A320 or Boeing 737NG device and five hours of Advanced UPRT and aerobatic training in a Super Decathlon.
• The academy’s FLEXIBLE pathway allows modular pilots to purchase individual MEP, IR, CPL, AUPRT, APS MCC, MCCI and simulator-preparation modules instead of undertaking the complete EXPEDITE programme.
• OAT’s dedicated training inventory currently comprises six Diamond DA42 TDI aircraft, one Super Decathlon, two DA42 TDI FNPT II devices, one Airbus A320 FTD1 and one Boeing 737NG FTD1. The organisation operates under UK CAA approval GBR.ATO.0586.
• Jet2 is operating a peak Summer 2026 flying programme of 139 aircraft from 14 UK bases.
