United Kingdom – Oxford Airline Training (OAT), a new UK CAA-approved modular pilot training organisation, hosted representatives from Loganair’s pilot recruitment team during its August 8, 2026 Discovery Day at London Oxford Airport.

  • OAT’s dedicated training inventory currently comprises
    • 6x Diamond DA42 TDI aircraft
    • 1x Super Decathlon
    • 2x DA42 TDI FNPT II devices
    • 1x Airbus A320 FTD1
    • 1x Boeing 737NG FTD1
  • The academy’s EXPEDITE Airline Pilot Career Programme is priced at GBP65,000 including VAT and is designed to take candidates who already hold a PPL and have completed ATPL theory through the remaining advanced modular training stages in approximately 16–18 weeks, subject to weather.
  • EXPEDITE incorporates multi-engine, CPL, instrument, AUPRT and APS MCC training. The programme includes 40 hours of Diamond DA42 flying, 40 hours of DA42 simulator training, 40 hours of APS MCC training on either the Airbus A320 or Boeing 737NG FTD1 and five hours of Advanced UPRT and aerobatic flying in the Super Decathlon.
  • OAT’s Competency Assurance framework covers additional DA42 aircraft or simulator training required for students to reach the standard for UK CAA skills tests and provides additional APS MCC training where required to reach the Assessment of Competence. OAT also offers airline-specific interview and simulator assessment preparation once a graduate has secured a confirmed airline assessment.
  • The academy also offers its FLEXIBLE pathway, allowing pilots to purchase MEP, IR, CPL, AUPRT, APS MCC, MCCI and simulator-preparation modules individually rather than completing the full EXPEDITE programme.
  • OAT has scheduled its next Discovery Day at London Oxford Airport for October 3, 2026.
