United Kingdom – Norwich-based business aviation and flight training provider Saxon Air has appointed Ricky as Flight School Manager at its Norwich Airport training operation.

  • Ricky brings more than 2,000 hours of flight instruction and operational experience, with experience covering practical and theoretical instruction, flight planning and aircraft maintenance coordination.
  • Saxon Air currently provides Private Pilot Licence training together with Night Rating, IR(R), differences/familiarisation training and hour-building opportunities from Norwich Airport. Its current published aircraft offering covers Diamond DA40, Pipistrel Virus SW121A Explorer and Pipistrel Velis Electro types.
  • The flight school recently added G-CLWO, its second Pipistrel Explorer, joining G-OSAX. Saxon Air said the additional aircraft was introduced in response to increased training demand and is intended to improve aircraft availability, maintenance resilience and capacity for further student growth.
  • Saxon Air launched its low-emission flight training centre in May 2024 using the Pipistrel Explorer and all-electric Velis Electro, with the Diamond DA40 supporting more advanced training. Two Velis Electro aircraft were associated with the operation when the centre launched.
