United Aviate Academy Promotes Jon Micetic to COO

Arizona, USA – United Aviate Academy, United Airlines' wholly owned ab-initio flight training academy based in Goodyear, Arizona, has promoted Jon Micetic to Chief Operating Officer, expanding his responsibilities from his previous role as Chief Flight Training Officer held since December 2024.

• Micetic was promoted to COO in April 2026 after serving as Chief Flight Training Officer for approximately 17 months, during which he was responsible for flight training operations, simulator operations, flight safety, flight dispatch, and crew scheduling serving over 400 FAA and EASA students training on more than 90 aircraft and simulators.
• Prior to joining United Aviate Academy in December 2024, Micetic spent five years and five months at CAE in Mesa, Arizona, progressing through increasingly senior operational leadership roles: Head of Training Delivery – Americas (August 2019–January 2023), Head of Training Delivery – Americas & Europe (January 2023–May 2024), and Head of Operations (March 2024–December 2024).
