Spain – Adventia, European College of Aeronautics and the flight school of the University of Salamanca, has taken delivery of the first of eight Cirrus SR20 G7+ aircraft to be added to its fleet throughout 2026, becoming the first European flight school to incorporate the model into pilot training operations.

  • The eight Cirrus SR20 G7+ aircraft will be progressively integrated into Adventia's operations at the Matacán Aeronautical Campus, with the full fleet expected to be in place before the end of 2026.
  • The SR20 G7+ is noted for its advanced avionics, high safety standards, and the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) emergency parachute, features cited as representing a qualitative advance for the school's pilot training program.
  • The acquisition forms part of a broader strategic plan by the University of Salamanca encompassing fleet renewal, modernisation of the Matacán Aeronautical Campus, and consolidation of the University Degree in Commercial Aviation Pilot and Air Operations — a pioneering program integrating pilot training within the Spanish university system.
  • The presentation of the first aircraft was attended by University of Salamanca Rector Juan Manuel Corchado, Adventia CEO Gonzalo Martín, and Cirrus Aircraft representatives Jerry Pharr (Executive Director of Fleet & Special Mission), Pedro Raposo (Director of Fleet Sales EMEA), and Daniel Escribano (Cirrus Sales Manager Spain).

Statements

  • "This boost is part of a new stage for Adventia, which looks to the future with the aim of consolidating another 50 years of training excellence and reinforcing its position as one of the leading aeronautical training centers in Europe," said Juan Manuel Corchado, Rector, University of Salamanca.
