Australia – The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) Aviation welcomed Mr Hervé Touron, Head of the Training Assessments and Consultancy (TAC) Unit at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), to its Springfield campus on 22 September 2025. The visit focused on ICAO’s ongoing efforts to strengthen links between academic institutions and the aviation industry.

  • Hervé Touron presented ICAO’s current initiatives, including the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) and the Global Aviation Training Program.
  • He emphasised the importance of bridging the gap between university education and the operational needs of the aviation sector.
  • UniSQ Aviation expressed interest in exploring opportunities to engage with ICAO’s initiatives, contributing expertise to aviation education and training across the Asia-Pacific region.
